In this internet age, people do not waste time moving from one institution to another just to find out the infrastructure and the status of the college. The parents sit before  computers and try to  find out which educational institute is the best. Website plays an important role  in presenting the various facets of the institution. If properly designed to present the institution properly it will be an asset, if not it fails.

My sincere advice to all those involved in web designing or offering suggestions is to concentrate and put maximum efforts to have a very good institutional website.  Lot of care has to be taken in designing the website, which should be, aesthetically pleasing, and hold the attention of the user group. Some websites are very simple and do not present any extraneous information.

Information should be presented concisely, without any ambiguity and important items have to be placed in appropriate areas and hold the attention of the seeker. It should be aesthetic. The user should know where they are always on the website and be able to find where they want to go without any problem. They should also be able to access any page they need without having to view the whole site.
