Significant contributions made by IQAC during the current year 2018-19
IQAC oversees the overall quality control, of all dimensions of the academic activities of the College and puts efforts to promote holistic academic excellence. In brief IQAC is the heart and soul of the institution, which shoulders the responsibility of improving the performance of the institution – both academic and administrative, and has been the impetus behind the internalization of quality culture and the institutionalization of the best practices that are the precursors of quality enhancement.
Faced two academic exercises one is NAAC Peer Committee for accreditation on19th & 20th September and UGC Committee for extension of autonomy on 24th & 25th September.
WORKSHOPS: Total of 8 workshops are organized

b) Two-Day workshop on Web designing on 17th & 18th August
c) One-Day Workshop on entrepreneur ship and Intellectual property Rights on 13-12-2018
d) One Day Workshop on Importance of English in the Global Village on 22-01-2019
e) One Day workshop on Redesigning of Courses on 23-01-2019
f) Three-Day Workshop on Health Hygiene and Entrepreneurship from 5th to 7th Feb 2019.
g) Workshop on Physics of Materials on 08-02-2019.
h) One-Day Workshop on Green Chemistry on 11-02-2019.
NATIONAL SEMINARS: Total of 2 Seminars are organized
a) One-Day National Seminar by IQAC in collaboration with the Alumni Association on “Recent Trends in Students Anti-Social Behavior Implications for the Future of Education” on 19th December.
b) One-Day National Seminar on “Skill Development – Need of The Hour” by the Department of English in collaboration with the IQAC & Alumni Association on 14-02-2019.
ORIENTATION: For a week to the 3rd & 5th semester students at the commencement of the year from 6th to 12th June, for 1st semester students by the Controller of Exams on autonomous system, examination system, continuous evaluation etc. by the Librarian on student support services on Induction program on was given by the staff members concerned.
Effective staff guardian system takes care of the academic and personal problems of the students, eleven skill-based, employment oriented certificate courses to make them fit to face global competition, exposure to the society to inculcate social responsibility, Guest lectures and attempts to bring out the innate talents of the students through Performing Arts sessions, implementation of student centered learning offering technological base, including library & games hours in the time table, paying attention to their grievances and striving for sending the students out of the portals as knowledgeable, socially responsible, skilled and competent citizens with real human values , which is the prime mission of our college .
In addition to the best practices of the institution, each department has its own best practice. Awareness programs on food adulteration, AIDs, Health and Hygiene, hazards of environmental pollution, Lab on Wheels, Caring & Sharing, Cheyutha, motivational classes in schools, medical checkups for the public too are a few to mention with.
Feedback from all the stakeholders and giving importance to their suggestions, revision of syllabus to the extent needed, encouraging student centric learning quiz programs, buzz sessions, Group Discussions, Role Play, Simulations, Problem Solving, Case Studies, Projects, Library and Field Work, etc.,
