The Dept. conducts student seminar competitions for all the colleges affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University.


Research Facilities and ongoing Projects and Research:


The Department of Chemistry has research facility and Department have Spectrophotometer, conductometers potentiometers ph meters and coloro meters electronic balances, hot air ovens for doing research activities. A Minor Research Project sponsored by the UGC to Dr. N.Suguna was completed.


Activities:


  The Department has a glorious history of providing invaluable services to the student community . The alumni of the Department now occupied many prestigious positions in India and aboard. The Department rededicates itself to provide quality education to the student community to the best of its ability.

   A project on drinking water analysis was conducted by the students under the guidance of staff and the report was submitted to the Muncipal Chairperson of Tenali.

  The Department organizes Group Discussions, Class Room Seminars, Quiz competitions, Buzz sessions, cooperative learnig, study projects, etc., for students to improve their communication skills and subject knowledge.

  The faculty members and the students of the Department actively participate in all extension activities organized by the College. Faculty members with students conducted surveys of water quality in various places in Tenali and around Tenali.
Participated in Aids awareness and health awareness programmes.

  The faculty members are extensively using the LCD Projector in regular classes. The Teachers explain the lesson with the help of Power Point presentation and Animations so that the Students get better understanding of the subject matter.
